Dorcus is a Counseling Psychologist with over eight years of experience in diverse roles, including working with children with intellectual disabilities and neurodevelopment disorders, refugee children, and children living in informal settings in Kenya, Uganda, and Ghana. She is a trained SomaSource Practitioner with Golden Bridge, USA, where she serves on the Social Justice Advisory Team. She serves as a mentor on the Golden Bridge Support Team. She is a consultant counsellor at Multikids Inclusive Academy in Accra, Ghana. In 2023, Dorcus was voted as the organiser for the Kenyans in Ghana Association, where she still serves.
Since 2008, she has founded and helped develop several organisations serving youth in Kenya and Uganda and offered training and programs in literacy, social entrepreneurship, and leadership. In 2014, due to the impact of her work, she was selected by A World at School to represent her country, Kenya, as a Global Youth Ambassador. In early 2018, she was chosen as one of the Emerging African Leaders and trained in “Leading in Public Life” by the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
