Josué NDIZEYE, Education Director at CIYOTA – DRC, is deeply committed to improving the lives of conflict-affected children and youth by providing them with access to quality and inclusive education. A graduate of Goma ISP (Institut Superieur Pedagogique) with a BAC+5 in education, Josué has dedicated himself to restoring hope and promoting social inclusion for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), refugees, and marginalized children and youth, ultimately driving sustainable development. Having personally experienced life as a refugee and IDP, Josué has a profound understanding of the challenges these groups face.
In 2022, Josué led an emergency education mission aimed at facilitating Congolese refugees and IDP children to sit for their final national examinations, successfully guiding 1,419 students to complete their education. With over five years of experience as a secondary school teacher, Josué has honed his leadership skills, including his role as Co-lead and trainer for Think Africa, a program that prepares youth for university. Additionally, as a former CIYOTA branch president, he represented the organisation and contributed to its growth and reputation. Josué is a passionate advocate for functional education, believing it is the key to unlocking the potential of children and youth to address community challenges and build sustainable societies.
