Thierry is an IT specialist, digital strategist, and creative storyteller with over six years of experience in website development, system administration, database management, and digital communications. A talented videographer and photographer, he uses visuals to tell compelling stories. Thierry earned his bachelor’s degree with honours in Computer Science from Africa University in Zimbabwe and has since dedicated his career to using technology for education and community development. He is one of the CIYOTA scholars who returned to give back to his community, applying his expertise to drive positive change.
Currently serving as the Communication Manager and Webmaster at CIYOTA, Thierry leads communication campaigns and creates content that showcases the organisation’s impact. His skills in photography and videography help bring CIYOTA’s stories to life, highlighting the success of refugee youth and connecting with supporters. Through his work, he continues to amplify CIYOTA’s mission and vision in the community.
He is also the Co-founder of VOLCANO TECH HUB, a non-profit organisation focused on advancing digital literacy and technology innovation. He has worked with various organisations, using his expertise in digital storytelling, IT solutions, and community development to drive meaningful impact. Passionate about empowering individuals with hands-on experience in coding, networking, and emerging tech trends, Thierry is committed to bridging the digital divide and providing marginalized communities with the tools they need to thrive in a tech-driven world.
